Henry Blodget Wrangles CEOs at AlwaysOn NYC
(AlwaysOn OnMedia NYC streamed live) Former dot-com securities analyst and current Editor-in-Chief of Silicon Alley Insider Henry Blodget is on stage at AlwaysOn OnMedia NYC. This is 8 PM on a Monday night and the room is full. I spoke to AlwaysOn founder Tony Perkins who told me they sold a dozen tickets for the conference at the door, who joked they had "funded tomorrow night's party." Blodget is trying to get to the heart of what's going to monetize things like chat, mobile, and online video through a panel of five CEOs: Seth Sternberg, Meebo "rooms" for chat on sites like CBS; live interaction on the web David Kidder, Clickable John Edwards, CEO, Move Networks, a video player download which allows access to a high quality mainstream TV content without streaming interuption Frand Addante, CEO The Rubicon Project--"We are the opposite of Clickable. We help our clients make mad cash." "Zero to 4 billion ads optimized since launch." Waikit Lau, ScanScout Going to conferences or sending clients to conferences and nominating them to things like the AlwaysOn 100 is a lot of work. It's clear to us that the value of AONYC is the networking, not the access to journalists, the AlwaysOn social network (26,238 members at presstime), or access to the editors of print magazine & site. Tomorrow we'll look at startups who might change the way you think about communicating online. More tk. Email This Post |
