Pantene is reintroducing bygone products from its hair care line with the “Back by Popular Demand” campaign. And what better way to do that than to revisit that most iconic of hair eras, the 1980s.
In the spoof above, Pantene has tapped some of our personal cinema favorites (The Breakfast Club !) to take us back to a time when Pantene products were helping our hair defy the laws of science and good taste. The clip is also available on Funny or Die, which partnered with Pantene on the clip.
Besides the video, the “Back By Popular Demand” campaign is featured prominently on Pantene’s Facebook page. And the brand has partnered with bloggers to offer readers the chance to win prizes for guessing all of the films referenced in the clip.
DeVries Public Relations is helping with the promotion.
