Plagiarizing Former Daily Beast Reporter Gerald Posner Now In PR

Here’s an interesting pairing: Gerald Posner, the former chief investigative reporter for The Daily Beast who recently resigned due to a plagiarism scandal, has gotten into PR.
His first client? Mahmood Karzai, brother of Aghanistan president Hamid Karzai, who was recently mentioned in an investigation by The Wall Street Journal in relation to billions of dollars being airlifted out of the country. “A lot of this looks like our tax dollars being stolen. And opium, of course,” a US official investigating Afghan corruption told the Journal.
Posner defended his client in a letter to the Journal, which stated in part, “Mr. Karzai has never transferred large amounts of cash out of the country. He is willing to take a lie-detector test on this matter.”
