Politicians Are All Over Twitter This Election Season
If you follow the presidential hopefuls on your Twitter account, then your feed will be blowing up until we hit the polls next year.
President Obama announced today that he’ll be hosting a Twitter town hall meeting (@townhall) on July 6 at 2 p.m. ET.
Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s co-founder, will be moderating. You’ll recall that the President made a trip to visit a very dressed up Mark Zuckerberg at the Facebook offices for a town hall meeting on that platform. More on the Twitter event here.
The Republican candidates (all 46 of them) have scheduled a Twitter debate for July 20 as well.
The debate will take place on the 140TownHall.com platform. Radio host Rusty Humphries will moderate and TheTeaParty.net is a sponsor. Mashable has more details about how it’s going to happen.
