PR Newswire Acquires Xinhua PR Newswire

New York-based PR Newswire made a significant expansion today, acquiring Xinhua PR Newswire. The service will be re-branded as PR Newswire China and operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan will re-brand as PR Newswire Asia. The combined operations employ around 50 people. According to the press release, the acquisition makes PR Newswire China, the “largest corporate announcement distribution service” in China.
