Mountains of Media Reaction to Obama Presser

President Obama‘s press conference yesterday has gotten as much ink for the subject matter (tax cuts and an extension of unemployment benefits) as for the President’s delivery.

Politico called Obama “angry.” The New York Times said he showed “uncharacteristic emotion.”  The Hill said Obama used “fiery rhetoric” and “angrily criticized liberals.” Clive Crook at The Atlantic found the “two Obamas” that showed up for the press conference “fascinating.”

Obama has been described countless times as aloof. In this case, he showed some emotion and it’s thrown everyone for a loop. Media training specialists out there, what are your thoughts?
