For Immediate Release Fridays
This edition of For Immediate Release Fridays includes no complaints by Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich. However, there is toy-related news. Also included is a reverse stock split, layoffs in Vermont, and a company busted for having not enough independent auditors: BusinessWire itself is down for the count tonight: "Site Temporarily Unavailable. The Business Wire site is currently unavailable, but will be back shortly." You can look at their press releases on Yahoo! if you need to. Vermillion's board (nasdaq: VMRL) approves 1 for 10 stock split Vermont Teddy Bear lays off 15, and eliminates 7 unfilled middle management positions The NASDAQ smacks Diedrich Coffee (Nasdaq: DDRX) for having an empty seat on their independent audit committee Top toy retailer Toys"R"Us announces new policy to reduce and eventually eliminate polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic in the toys & packaging they carry. Wal-Mart, KMart, Sears, and Target have already made similar announcements. In better news, a licensing deal will put the mugs of the lovable bumbling Three Stooges on even more lottery scratch cards. I can't wait to go to the deli and buy some. Email This Post |
