ProBlogger on “Using” PR People to Build Traffic to Your Blog

Think that all bloggers hate PR people? Not quite, and some are even strategizing on ways to “use” PR to build traffic to their blog.

In a guest post on ProBlogger, social media strategist Erik Sebellin-Ross elaborates on the ways bloggers can do this, citing everything from the obvious (link exchange) to some more nuanced strategies (teaming with other bloggers of the same size/topic to do joint contests with large companies.)

He explains, “All of you would promote it. All of you would solicit visitors to enter. And all of you, jointly, would give away the prizes. Which, in turn, exposes the visitors of multiple blogs to the company while it builds traffic to you.”
