Maybe it’s because the weather is warming up, but we’ve got a slew of travel announcements this week.
Raffles Hotels & Resorts has chosen Mango PR in London to head up global public relations. The firm will work with Raffles’ VP of sales and marketing Diana Banks on media relations, partnerships, and social media outreach. Raffles has opened four international locations in the past year and has plans for more this year.
Parasol Marketing Group has been named the U.S. and U.K. AOR for the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Phulay Bay location in southern Thailand. The firm will be focused on media relations for the resort.
Kreps De Maria PR & Marketing has been chosen to provide PR services for the Sagamore Hotel on Miami Beach. The hotel is home to the Cricket Taplin Collection of contemporary art. Kreps De Maria already has a number of hospitality clients including a number of Marriott Hotels and the firm is the Latin American AOR for the InterContinental Hotels Group.
Pulse Communications, a part of Ogilvy PR Australia, has been chosen to launch Carnival Cruise Lines to the Australian market. The firm will work on both traditional media relations and social media outreach. The first Carnival Cruise ship will sail from Sydney in October 2012. [via mUmBRELLA]
