Survey: Nearly Two-Thirds of U.S. Workers Don’t Think They’ll Be Able to Retire

overworked2.jpg A new StrategyOne survey of 1,043 Americans found that 64 percent believe they’ll never retire (613 respondents work either full- or part-time). A bright spot in the findings: 82 percent said they’re satisfied with their jobs. More than 80 percent also said they have good communications with their bosses, however 44 percent said their company hangs corporate values on the walls that really don’t mean anything to them.

The StrategyOne Labor Day American Worker survey was conducted online between August 20 and 23. The survey also found that the economic recession has taken a toll on U.S. workers. Forty-six percent have had their wages reduces over the past two years and 37 percent say they’re underemployed.
