Chelsea Clinton Makes $600K from NBC News Because That’s Fair

Hillary And Chelsea Clinton Speak Host Discussion On Girls And WomenPaging Jill Abramson. You may want to add this chick to your hit list.

In a world where networks with too much money hire people with too few qualifications (but a skosh of notoriety), there’s Chelsea Clinton.

Mind you, this is also a world in which Jill Abramson can be the former executive editor of The New York Times, have tons of responsibility, and fight to make $475,000 while her predecessor Bill Keller made $559,000. And that’s to run one of the nation’s leading newspapers.

Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook’s Marketing Director, Stepping Down

Randi Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook, sister to Mark, and director of marketing for the social network, has handed in her letter of resignation. She plans to launch RtoZ Media, a social media firm.

“My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and work with media companies to develop their programming in new, and more social ways. In attacking this challenge, Facebook will clearly be a central element in all of my projects,” she said in her resignation letter.

It was only last week that she was at the Hearst Tower talking about Facebook and online privacy with Erin Andrews, Chelsea Clinton, and Marie Claire! She’s in the photo above at the event, second from the left.

Last night, former first daughter Chelsea Clinton took the stage at the Hearst Tower in NYC to introduce a lively panel discussion about online privacy and education. The event was hosted by Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles and Common Sense Media, a nonprofit dedicated to sharing information with kids and families about navigating the digital world.

Clinton said her first media memory as a kid was picking up a copy of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Nowadays, of course, kids and adults are zipping around the Web, sometimes with long-term repercussions.

Though the panel was called “Social media: The perils and possibilities of living in a digital world,” the perilous side was clearly on everyone’s mind. With an overwhelmingly female audience, including a number of moms (Coles referenced her own son a couple of times), the biggest concern was how to prevent over-sharing and cyberbullying.

With that, the person who everyone turned to for answers was Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook’s marketing head and Mark’s sister. At one point, she said she wanted to go home to her baby.
