Get Sucked Into a ‘True Blood’ Video

The new season of True Blood is coming June 26 and to kick things off, a new Facebook app called “Immortalize Yourself” developed by Definition 6 lets fans become part of the Bon Temps fun.

“Like” the page and a video, filmed especially for the promotion, will pull your name, location, and profile photo along with those of selected friends into the scene.

In the video attached here, Definition 6′s Rachel Conforti and her pals are inserted on the paperwork and in scattered other places in the surrounding the action.

As a bonus takeaway, you get the line, “The hooker’s working my last good nerve.” Look for ways to use it daily.

Common Cents Campaign Takes Times Square

Common Cents has launched a campaign to raise awareness about its efforts, school drop-out rates, and the Penny Harvest Run for Change! 5K run/walk fundraising event taking place on April 30. The campaign includes a Times Square billboard that’s currently on display and featured in this YouTube video.

Common Cents works with students to encourage learning through volunteerism. Penny Harvest has been collecting pennies for the past 20 years and donating them to NYC neighborhoods and organizations. After the event, students will decide where the money raised will go. Five percent has been pledged to the Penny Harvest Fund for Japan.

The billboard was created with pro bono help from Definition 6 and will be in Times Square until the day of the event.
