Text 100′s New Digs

While my co-editor Joe was mingling at the PRSA event, I joined Text 100 for the opening of their big new space on Park Avenue. The office is an open design with no offices, plenty of conference rooms, and small “telephone booths” for private or sensitive calls, and of course, a place to play Nintendo Wii. The agency has over 50 people in New York, and about 30 offices worldwide.

Though we didn’t get a good picture of the space, the Second Life grab above is apropos of the CEO Aedhmar Hyne‘s brief talk about the changing media landscape, both mainstream and consumer generated.

Fresh off a “Best Midsize Agency to Work For” Sabre Award, the mood was upbeat. PRWeek Editor-in-Chief Keith O’Brien was there, as well as Scott Ferguson from eWeek and two of his colleagues. Numerous clients were on hand including several from IBM, presumably the agency’s largest account.

Wii + beer was in full swing when I left at 10 PM.

Thank you to Aaron Uhrmacher for the invitation.
