Tools Round Up: ARC for Marketing, the State of the Media, BW’s Tweets

PR Newswire and MultiVu have introduced ARC for Marketing. (ARC stands for “Access, Reach, Connect.”) The platform allows users to launch video, photos, and other multimedia assets and promotional content from one platform. Information and a demo are available here. PR Newswire launched ARC for Public Relations last June.

Vocus has released its State of the Media 2011 report. Among the highlights and lowlights: 151 newspapers folded; 724 outlets launched, the overwhelming majority of them from Patch.com; consumer magazine launches are on the upswing; and 60 stations added a 4:30a.m. newscast. Click here for more.

After testing the feature for the past few months, Business Wire is now tweeting every press release to the appropriate content categories. Clients are asked to choose categories when uploading a release and users can subscribe to those feeds.
