Want Publicity? Climb Buildings

nytimespapers.bmp

Ok, so PRNewser is in no way encouraging our readers to partake in risky skyscraper climbs in order to get attention.

However, New York is abuzz the with the story that made front page headlines in almost all of today’s papers: two guys climbed to the top of the NY Times building.

First Frenchman Alain Robert, scaled the building to garner attention for global warming, then Brookyln resident Renaldo Clarke followed up with a climb for malaria.

“Two climbers used our headquarters building to make personal statements. Their illegal and ill-considered actions jeopardized their safety and the safety of others. We are taking steps to prevent future occurrences,” said Catherine Mathis, the Times’ spokeswoman, to AM New York.

What would you do to get attention for a cause?
