White House Deputy Press Secretary Takes To Twitter; Counters CNN Report

White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton has taken to Twitter to defend the administration in the wake of reports from CNN’s Ed Henry that administration officials have said they expect Democrat Martha Coakley to lose the senate election in Massachusetts to fill Ted Kennedy‘s seat.
“The presidential advisers have grown increasingly pessimistic in the last three days about Coakley’s chances after a series of missteps by the candidate, sources said,” wrote Henry on CNN.com
Burton responded on Twitter with, “I wholeheartedly disagree,” followed by, “The President is in MA today because he believes Martha Coakley is the right person for the job and indeed will be the next senator from MA.”
After just six tweets, Burton already has 1,758 followers.
