Whiteboard Girl Stunt Taps Employee Frustration

Humor site theCHIVE.com pulled off a traffic-driving publicity stunt yesterday by timing their “HPOA” girl slideshow with the wildly viral real story of Steven Slater, the JetBlue flight attendant who quit his job in such spectacular fashion it earned him a night on Rikers Island (and possibly more time in the slammer).
The sluggish economy, long hours, and our fascination with Slater let many believe that the HPOA (hot piece of ass) “Jenny” really did quit her job via whiteboard, and outted her Farmville-addicted sexist boss in the process.
Jenny is actually Elyse Porterfield, an actress hired to perpetrate the stunt.
Very, very rough estimates at the time of this post put the mainstream mentions at about 40, and blog mentions at 4,000.
