Who Are the Finalists for the Wal-Mart Account?

PRNewser hears that Wal-Mart has narrowed the field down to Golin-Harris, Weber Shandwick, Cohn and Wolfe and Taylor. We’ve made a few calls to get more info but they have not been returned as of the time of this post.

Meanwhile, PRWeek‘s Nicole Zerillo reported yesterday that Edelman has lost its consumer communications account with Wal-Mart, while retaining work in “public affairs and issues management.”

As the Wal-Mart agency review continues, The Wall Steet Journal reported this week that five agencies are expected to all receive work on the account. PRWeek‘s Zerillo cites several industry sources who said Wal-Mart is “nearing the end of its review and that several firms were already chosen.”
