Who Will We Be Pitching In 20 Years?
If I had the answer to that question, I’d be, well, let’s just say I’d have already created that media company. Seriously though, as we sit here in the midst of an all out digital revolution, Alley Insider’s Henry Blodget presents some intriguing numbers on how “new media” sites like Huffington Post are quickly catching up with well established newspapers and media outlets.
The Compete.com chart below shows what we all know: the “Gray Lady” is still king, by far.
Blodget based his story off of internal Google Analytics figures, which, contrary to Compete.com numbers, claim HuffPo has not overtaken the Boston Globe. The point though, is clear. A two year old website is approaching the traffic levels of what some would call an iconic media brand.
