YouTube Collaborates with ‘NYT’ on 9/11 Video Channel

YouTube is commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with a dedicated video channel that features clips collected over the past decade from the public, archival footage, and content from the channel’s partner, The New York Times. Visitors are also encouraged to share their thoughts on the impact of 9/11 on their lives with select clips to be featured on the channel and the newspaper’s website.

For those tuning in on TV, the broadcast networks are dedicating a large portion of the day to both the memorial event and news programming airing from Ground Zero or Washington D.C.

Separately, with 9/11 just a couple of days away, a group called “The Script Kiddies” hacked the @NBCNews Twitter account on Friday evening, sending a terrible and false message about attacks at Ground Zero. NBC quickly used its other accounts to send correct information. TVNewser also has NBC’s statement about the incident.
