The RoleWere hiring a Front-End Software Developer who combines strong UX/UI sensibilities with solid coding skills in Vue.js. You'll help us build intuitive, performant interfaces: from real-time dashboards to collaborative geographic tools.Unlike traditional reporting software, Captes front-end challenges are about visualizing fast-moving, complex, and location-based data in ways that feel effortless to our users. Youll work closely with the rest of the team to translate messy field data into clean, interactive experiences used daily by transport professionals.This role can be in-office (Versailles or Amsterdam) or remote, as long as youre based on the US East Coast or within European time zones.What youll do- Build and maintain front-end applications using Vue.js- Develop interfaces for real-time operations, time-series graphs, and geospatial data- Design thoughtful UI components that make complex systems intuitive- Collaborate with backend developers (Laravel, PostgreSQL) and data engineers- Ensure responsiveness, accessibility, and performance- Contribute to our design system and improve UI consistency- Take ownership of features from concept to deliveryYoure a great fit if you...- Have 3+ years of experience building web applications- Have 3+ years of experience designing and building user interfaces- Are confident working with Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and component-based front-end architectures- Know your way around REST APIs, and are comfortable working with Laravel and PostgreSQL backends- Have worked with time-series and geographic data (e.g., Grafana, Mapbox, PostGIS)- Have a good eye for UX and enjoy making complex tools feel simple and responsive- Are comfortable using Linux as your daily development environment- Communicate well in English (French or German is a plus)- Value autonomy and are ready to take ownership of your workPluses- Familiarity with design thinking methods or a product-oriented mindset- Experience with Mapbox GL JS or similar geospatial libraries- Experience with real-time data or WebSockets- Interest or experience in mobility, public transport, or IoT space- Familiarity with backend data formats involving telemetry or sensor input- Contributions to internal or open-source UI libraries or design systemsHow we workAt Capte, everyone has a high degree of freedom, and the responsibility that comes with it.
