BAE Systems is seeking Technical Editors to support our government customer at Reston, VA and Patrick Space Force Base, FL.
The Technical Editors will work in a classified environment, reviewing intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency. They will ensure style and format conform to agency publication standards and follow prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields. Other responsibilities include:
- Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, and other customer deliverables and security-related documents.
- Summarize numerical data to generate information to solve a wide range of intelligence problems.
- Ensure proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
- Collaborate with authors to revise products for narrative organization and negotiate further revisions as needed.
- Collect and organize information for the preparation of manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
- Apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Mid-level: Bachelor's degree in a related intelligence area with 8+ years of experience in an intelligence-related field, including technical editing within the last 2 years, or 10+ years of experience.
- Senior: Master's degree in a related intelligence area with 12+ years of experience, including recent technical editing, or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience.
- Prior military or government analytical experience.
- Experience in Information Security.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO, DIA BOTC, FBI OS101).
- Experience supporting intelligence analysis for the IC/DoD.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75,570 - $128,480
