Role Overview

As a Systems Architecture Lead, you will be responsible for developing system/product architecture for MPU/Microprocessors products. You will collaborate across hardware, software, and application engineering teams to design scalable, robust solutions for demanding markets such as Industrial, IoT, and Automotive Edge. This role requires a deep understanding of MPU hardware and software architecture, solutions engineering, use case analysis, validation, optimization, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and develop MPU architecture aligned with market trends and industry standards.
  • Work with product marketing and customers to translate requirements into detailed specifications.
  • Design scalable computing architectures, including multi-core processing, vision processing, machine learning, and networking.
  • Define WiFi and Bluetooth system architectures across product lines, including SOC or system-level integration.
  • Ensure seamless system-level integration of MPU components through collaboration with hardware, firmware, software, and solutions teams.
  • Develop strategies for performance, energy efficiency, thermal management, reliability, and scalability optimization.
  • Manage key performance indicators and drive program optimization.
  • Lead product cost optimization efforts in collaboration with marketing and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to industry standards and drive innovation in MPU SOC architectures.
  • Establish architectural guidelines, best practices, and documentation for product development.
  • Perform benchmarking, analysis, and optimization of power and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with use-case analysis and decomposition.
  • Proficiency with Linux, Zephyr, Free RTOS, or similar operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of microprocessor and microcontroller architectures, including CPU cores, DSP, memory management, and peripherals.
  • Experience in system performance optimization, low-power design, SW/HW co-design, and real-time processing.
  • Familiarity with high-speed interconnects, memory architectures, DDR, PCIe, and bus protocols.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams including silicon, software, hardware, and validation engineers.
  • Experience in product development processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards, protocols, and secure wireless communication.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex and RISC-V architectures.
  • Background in media processing, vision, and imaging applications.
  • Familiarity with system-level simulation tools, hardware/software co-design, and debugging techniques.
  • Understanding of Machine Learning Hardware IPs, tools, and architectures.
  • Knowledge of functional safety and security standards.
