The Riverside County Information Technology Department is seeking a skilled and creative IT Business System Analyst II with a strong foundation in front-end development and UI/UX principles to join their team in Riverside.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about crafting visually compelling and highly functional user experiences across digital platforms. Responsibilities include building responsive websites and applications using HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular. A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and API integration is essential, working closely with backend developers for cohesive functionality.

Key duties involve translating UI/UX wireframes into functional code while adhering to brand and accessibility standards, designing visual elements for intuitive interfaces, and ensuring usability and accessibility throughout development.

Under supervision, develops and implements IT solutions to meet business needs and performs related duties. This is a journey-level classification, requiring greater technical knowledge with minimal supervision.

The role includes testing and debugging interfaces for performance across devices and browsers, verifying functionality, and addressing issues for seamless user interactions. Collaboration within agile teams, participating in reviews, and providing UI/UX insights are also vital. Strong communication and proactive skills are necessary.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in both front-end development and UI/UX design. The position offers a 9/80 hybrid schedule, combining remote and on-site work.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Front-End Development: Build responsive websites/apps, ensure cross-browser compatibility, optimize performance, and integrate APIs with backend teams.
2. UI Implementation: Convert wireframes/mockups into functional, accessible, and brand-consistent interfaces.
3. UX Considerations: Conduct user research, apply user-centered design principles, and utilize wireframes and prototypes for development guidance.
4. Testing & Debugging: Ensure interfaces are functional and responsive, debug issues for seamless interactions.
5. Collaboration: Work within agile teams, participate in reviews, and provide UI/UX feedback.

Qualifications:

• Completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter units in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of front-end development experience.
• Technical skills include CSS, JavaScript, frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), Drupal, AWS, Power Apps.
