Educational Requirements:
Currently pursuing or finalizing a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Image/Video Signal Processing or a related field from an accredited university in the U.S.
Qualifications- Hands-on programming experience in C or C++.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills (English required).
It would be nice if you also had:
- Familiarity with current video coding standards (e.g., AVC, HEVC, VVC).
- Programming experience in Python, especially with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Conduct hands-on experimentation with both traditional and data-driven video coding methods, including feature implementation, simulation, and visual testing.
- Support the technical and perceptual evaluation of video coding solutions based on literature review and research findings.
- Contribute to the development of novel video compression techniques, as applicable.
- Document findings and present results to the research team.
