Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and dedicated engineer to join the GPU Platform Architecture Team. This team explores advanced GPU architectures for iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. The role requires strong analytical skills and close collaboration to deliver optimal solutions, impacting millions of customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will work with architecture, design, and software partners on defining and tuning Apple's future GPU power architectures. Your tasks include developing C++ and Python code, building and maintaining GPU models to understand and enhance GPU power architecture, and collaborating with GPU architects, RTL designers, and software teams to evaluate new hardware and software power features.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in GPU or CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python or Ruby

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in power modeling and active power management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and creativity to solve design challenges
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times a year
  • Experience working in large cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work with complex designs from architecture to production
