In this role, you will need to understand the latest trends and micro trends, and will be responsible for making important architecture decisions. The person will understand integrations and the associated technologies. The new app will need to integrate with different vendors and media portals. You will lead POCs, define architecture, and be a key member in decision-making. Additionally, you should have experience designing, implementing, and maintaining UI infrastructure and systems that enable the delivery of streaming content, including video, audio, and other data streams, reliably and at scale. This involves technical considerations from content encoding and packaging to network delivery and user experience.
You will be part of a team that designs, develops, and launches efficient quality systems and solutions supporting core organizational functions. You will apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues, opportunities, or problems, thereby improving IT and Business investments. The Developer should be experienced and self-sufficient, requiring minimal supervision but able to work under general guidance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and planning of software architecture for the web platform.
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Perform code reviews and mentor peers.
- Contribute as an integral member of an Agile/DevOps team to develop practical solutions.
- Ensure consistency with established software development architectures.
- Analyze and interpret requirements from Business and UX Design teams.
- Introduce new technologies and standard processes to solve business problems.
- Maintain the quality and security of the platform through testing and fixing issues.
- Design streaming architecture, including content encoding, packaging, and CDN management.
Skills
Must have
- Experience with streaming technology.
- 7+ years in application design, development, installation, and modification of web applications.
- 7+ years of experience with JavaScript, React JS (v16 & 17), Redux, Webpack, and ES6 or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of development methodologies, software design, patterns, and integration standards.
- Proficiency with version control, software packaging, and release management using GitHub.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to analyze situations for production support.
- Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- Experience with Git/GitHub repositories, TeamCity or similar tools, AWS DevOps, cloud technologies including AWS and Akamai CDN.
- Experience with UI analytics tools (Google Analytics, Quantum Metrics).
- Familiarity with application performance tools like Dynatrace.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and scaling React applications.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments.
