The System Firmware & Diagnostics organization is seeking a full stack web developer to help build advanced tooling and automation for the Hardware Engineering organization. This role involves working at the intersection of software and hardware, providing a unique opportunity to influence the software that builds Apple hardware, software, and services. Description
The Full Stack Web Developer will design and build infrastructure and tools supporting multiple teams across the company. Responsibilities include supporting existing systems and creating new applications from scratch. Ideal candidates are full-stack developers passionate about building effective tools for users.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software development, designing and building large-scale, highly available web applications.
- 3+ years of front-end development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like NextJS, React, or similar.
- Proficiency in server-side programming with JavaScript (Node.js, Express) and Python (Django, Flask).
- Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in web analytics, accessibility, standards, and security.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and ECMAScript standards.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and related containerization technologies.
- Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka.
- Experience designing and publishing Python libraries following PEP standards.
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication mechanisms.
- Strong problem-solving skills in agile environments.
- Ability to collaborate across different locations effectively.
