Job Responsibilities Participate in, design, and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Produce or contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, security, and operational stability Advanced proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as experience with testing frameworks Solid understanding of lower-level design principles in JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in optimizing JavaScript compilation for scalability and building command-line interfaces (CLI) is essential Strong background in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or NodeJS Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more disciplines (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile) Experience with AWS services like ECS, Fargate, SNS, SQS, and RDS Postgres Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, security scans, and automation tools Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and design patterns such as micro frontends AWS Certification(s) (Associate or above) About Us Chase is a leading financial services firm helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of products.
