BAE Systems' Digital Architecture Team (DAT) is hiring a Frontend Engineer to join us. We are responsible for building microservice cloud infrastructure and data collection software.

Our team has built a highly scalable, containerized gRPC microservices platform and micro-frontends web applications. We seek a talented Web Application Developer with hands-on experience in building web applications. You will collaborate with our cross-functional team to develop high-quality web applications that meet team standards.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• 2+ years of professional experience in web application development.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong experience with React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Solid understanding of Next.js framework and server-side rendering.
• Some experience with Dockers and Kubernetes.

Skills

• Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and Promises.
• Proficient with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of front-end build tools like webpack and Babel.
• Experience with test frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, or Mocha (optional).
• Ability to identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools like JIRA.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.

Must be able to obtain a US Secret Clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with Typescript.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms like Keycloak.
• Experience with building and consuming gRPC microservices and Protobuf.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95,106 - $161,680

Please note: This range is based on market pay structures. Salaries depend on various factors including skills, education, experience, and market conditions.
