$110,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

Title: A/V Programmer

Location: Houston, TX

Type: Direct Hire - Full Time.

The AV Programmer designs, programs, and maintains audiovisual (AV) systems for commercial construction projects. This on-site role ensures reliable, high-quality AV solutions for clients in commercial settings, collaborating with project teams to meet technical and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Program and configure AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp) for commercial buildings.
• Write and test custom code to integrate AV components like video, audio, and lighting systems.
• Integrate AV systems with network infrastructure and other building systems.
• Test, debug, and commission AV systems to ensure functionality and client satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues during and after installation.
• Train end-users on AV system operation and support project handovers.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project goals.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience programming AV equipment in commercial buildings.
• Proficiency with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp).
• Strong skills in coding, testing, and troubleshooting AV systems.
• Knowledge of AV system integration with IP networks and building systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
