Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages the design, development, and maintenance of the iMIS member management database and iMIS RiSE website to ensure it meets the needs of NSDAR’s mission and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages all projects relating to iMIS upgrades.
- Develops framework infrastructure to improve and automate web application integration and deployment.
- Develops short-range and long-range upgrade plans for iMIS staff client and eMembership.
- Controls security access for content for all staff and members as directed by the NSDAR Executive Committee.
- Works and manages third party iMIS developers to create special DAR-centric functionality.
- Develops and maintains all documentation for iMIS programming development.
- Works closely with database administrator to develop reports to carry out the organization’s mission and outreach objectives.
- Analyzes performance indicators and web traffic, identifying areas where the content requires improvement.
- Keeps track of the existing content strategy performance.
- Creates UAT test case scenarios and provides back-end support to facilitate UAT testing.
- Directs the day-to-day administration, support, patching, maintenance, and monitoring of the member management system.
- Creates solutions for identified problems or bugs.
- Monitors and compiles statistics on site visits and use; prepares reports for management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience working with iMIS.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- iMIS RiSE.
- Demonstrated Project Management, communication, and training skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language required.
COMPLEXITY/EFFORT:
- Applies specific professional-level functional knowledge to solve problems requiring the identification and analysis of moderately complex variables.
- Takes action to solve problems/issues that routinely arise in areas of assigned responsibility but may receive guidance or expertise from higher-level staff on more complex problems.
- Handles simultaneous projects requiring a high level of attention to detail.
