Job Description

We are looking for an AngularJS Developer responsible for the client side of our service. Your primary focus will be to implement a complete user interface in the form of desktop web app, with a focus on performance. You will work in a team with the back-end developer, and communicate with the API using standard methods. A thorough understanding of all of the components of our platform and infrastructure is required.

Responsibilities

1. Delivering a complete front-end application
2. Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop
3. Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS
4. Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself
5. Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API
6. Communicating with external web services
7. Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
8. Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
9. Validating user actions on the client side and providing responsive feedback
10. Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed
11. Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core AngularJS
12. Architecting and automating the build process for production, using task runners or scripts
13. Documenting the code inline using JSDoc or other conventions
14. Writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks
15. Creating e2e test suites for all components, and running them with Protractor (or a well reasoned alternative)
16. Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments
17. May perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
2. Or at least 2+ years of proven experience in JavaScript specific to Angular.
3. Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5
4. Professional, precise communication skills
5. Ensuring a clear dependency chain, in regard to the app logic as well as the file system
6. Ability to provide SEO solutions for single page apps
7. Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects and keeping the framerate above 30fps at all times
8. Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
9. Experience with building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets

Clearance:

1. Must be a US Citizen
2. DoD public trust or active interim secret clearance or higher

This position will temporarily work remotely due to COVID-19, but only for the duration of the COVID-19, and will transition back to a non-remote settings when and if COVID-19 remote is lifted.
