About the Role Reporting to the VP of Marketing Data Science & Modeling, the Senior Manager will lead initiatives to enhance Dow Jones’ marketing data science capabilities, supporting our direct-to-consumer products. The role involves leveraging advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and machine learning to optimize marketing performance, increase customer retention, and improve ROI. A key focus is developing and scaling our marketing technology stack, including media mix modeling, attribution, data harmonization, and scenario planning. This high-impact position requires technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills. The role is based in our midtown Manhattan office, with a requirement to work three days per week onsite. Your Responsibilities Predictive Modeling & Machine Learning : Design, build, and deploy models for churn prediction, customer lifetime value, pricing optimization, and next-best-action recommendations. Improve models iteratively for accuracy and impact. Media Mix Modeling & Optimization : Develop models to assess marketing spend effectiveness across channels and segments. Lead data integration, attribution, and scenario analysis tools. Data-Driven Strategy Development : Analyze large datasets to uncover insights and translate findings into strategic marketing recommendations. Customer Segmentation & Lifecycle Analytics : Create segmentation models to inform targeting and retention strategies, collaborating with marketing teams. Model Deployment & Enablement : Embed models into marketing workflows and ensure adoption and performance monitoring post-deployment. Team Leadership & Strategic Influence : Mentor junior staff, shape analytics roadmaps, and promote data-informed decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with marketing, product, finance, and leadership teams to align on objectives and share insights.
