Base pay range $180,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from DataX Connect Connecting the Data Centre talent across the U.S. Director of Design Management- Data Centers DataX Connect are partnered with a leading data center developer offering innovative and adaptive solutions for global hyperscale customers, focusing on flexible and scalable designs and build-to-scale projects. Due to growth and further investments to the business, they are looking to hire an experienced Design Director to work closely with the Regional team, Platform Execution and other regional Directors to develop best-in-class design management policies, procedures, tools and best practices. This individual will oversee and support a team that leads all aspects of major technical programs that are targeting both colocation and hyperscale builds, including oversight of employee and third-party organizations engaged in the preconstruction, design, construction and commissioning phases. What You'll Do: Dual responsibility to direct day-to-day operations of design management programs and lead a team of 2-5 direct reports in a geographic region. Manage budgets, contracts, and schedules to ensure project success. Assisting CM with building and maintaining budget/cost models/all phase budgets for each project, specifically around design costs and timelines Work with leading trade partners, general contractors, and authorities to ensure seamless delivery. Conduct technical review of construction plans with understanding of architectural design within data center environment. What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent 12+ years progressive experience in successfully managing commercial construction project design programs, with data center experience strongly preferred. Advanced experience in Excel, Smartsheets and/or AutoCAD. Management of design teams. May travel, at times, up to 25% Why Join them? Work on industry-leading hyperscale projects .
