Overview
Responsible for initial planning of a project including scheduling of time, creating material stock lists, analyzing changes, and solving problems. Learn how to design various dry and wet fire protection systems following required codes. Assist with field surveys of existing buildings and systems. Learn and use design software for 2-D & 3-D drawings. Assist with system calculations. Work with key customers and our design/build team to prepare conceptual drawings and estimates. Produce shop drawings and as-built drawings. Assist with system and equipment selection. Assemble system specifications and O&M Manuals. Communicate with field personnel to ensure information flow. Specific Requirements:
AutoCAD experience preferred. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (copier/printer, etc.). Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time. Open cube office work environment, noise level – quiet to moderate. Qualifications/Skills:
Good planning and problem-solving skills. Able to understand big picture issues. Good communication, written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Professional and detail-oriented. File organization skills. Good with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Reliable with ability to complete tasks within deadlines and communicate results back to the team.
