FAA - Senior Technical Writer/Editor - UAS Integration Office Responsibilities: Apply in-depth knowledge of NAS, aviation, and flight procedures to produce guidance materials that communicate complex aviation topics to diverse audiences. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate technical concepts into understandable documents. Analyze content for reuse and quality, ensuring standards are met. Prepare, edit, and publish technical documentation adhering to content and format standards. Software Requirements: Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word (advanced formatting, tables, review functions) Microsoft PowerPoint (master slides) Microsoft Excel (basic functions) SharePoint, AdobeConnect Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of technical writing experience, including 2 years with FAA aviation documentation. Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. Additional Notes: Location: 950 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024. Required clearance: SF-85P, obtainable on-site at FAA, with ability to secure Public Trust clearance. Salary range: $40,001 - $80,000, based on experience.
