Overview
We are seeking a talented Jr Designer for a lifestyle women's brand in the OC area for an in-house contract up to 6 months. This Jr Designer will work on Women's Swim / Accessories categories, including headwear, bags, backpacks, and apparel graphics.
Responsibilities Oversee research and inspiration to create cohesive swim and accessory design concepts each season, review emerging trends and shapes, and research local markets.
Develop flats and sketches for all CAD designs as part of a cohesive seasonal collection aligned with the brand's overall aesthetic and vision.
Send out trend packs to direct vendors each season.
Prepare all necessary components for accessory design presentations, such as sketch boards, proto reviews, and production meeting preparation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing, and maintain strong business relationships with external partners.
Create CADs, tech packs, recolor prints, and work with the VP of Design and internal teams.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Minimum 2+ years' experience developing concepts within Women's swim/accessories categories from development through production.
Note: This is an in-house contract up to 6 months.
Salary range: $65K
