Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Production Stage Manager-Audio-Visual responsible for executing all aspects of audio and video operations and coordinating technical elements for productions and events. This role manages stage operations, over-hire personnel, stagehands, and crew. It also serves as Sound Board and Video Operator, overseeing audio and video crews, facilitating load-ins, maintaining equipment and work areas, and providing technical support for live events, programs, and meetings.
Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $25.00
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Technology, Theater/Production, Audio/Visual, or a related field, with five (5) years of related work experience. Work experience may substitute for the education requirement.
- Knowledge and proficiency with digital mixing consoles, DANTE audio networks, Qlab, managing wireless microphones, and producing audio recordings.
- Knowledge and proficiency with projection, video switchers, live streaming, video conversion, PTZ camera systems, and producing video recordings.
- Strong knowledge of computer applications in Windows and Mac environments, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Office 365 applications (OneDrive, Teams, etc.), Qlab, OBS.
- Working knowledge of networking A/V equipment.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching, climbing, working at heights, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasionally, lifting more than 75 pounds may be required.
