Senior CAD Designer/Modeler
with expertise in CAD design and modeling, particularly in Siemens NX. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining tools, machines, and equipment in collaboration with multiple departments. Key Responsibilities
Review projects and investigate issues related to machines, tools, and equipment. Create design layouts involving stress analysis, metallurgical characteristics, and mechanics. Generate CAD models with Siemens NX to meet specifications. Recommend redesigns, repairs, or rebuilds to meet requirements. Prepare bills of material, specification sheets, sketches, and technical documentation. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other departments on design and material matters. Operate and maintain 3D printers, CNC machines, measurement, and testing equipment. Handle additive manufacturing requests, review files, validate printability, and manage printing schedules. Develop CAD modeling skills for additive manufacturing modifications. Perform mathematical calculations to ensure tool and equipment accuracy. Maintain records and prepare reports related to tool design and machine functions. Education & Experience
Technical Diploma preferred, with 5+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Additive 3D printing, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc. Knowledge of mold manufacturing, CNC machining, wire EDM, and grinding processes. Understanding of injection molding processes and materials. Experience in designing turbine/airfoil molds, dies, and fixtures is highly desirable. Familiarity with scanning/reverse engineering software. Strong organizational skills and adaptability. Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with team collaboration skills.
