Job Overview
Aleknagik Technology, LLC (ATL) is seeking a Health Promotion Technician to support the Armed Forces Wellness Center (AFWC) at Fort Riley. The technician will work as part of a team providing primary prevention services aimed at improving health and readiness by addressing modifiable behavioral factors related to chronic disease, injury, and performance issues.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of six core programs: health assessment review, physical fitness, healthy nutrition, stress management, general wellness education, and tobacco education.
- Coordinate community events, schedule appointments, manage referrals, and perform administrative tasks.
- Conduct health and biometric screenings and assist in health promotion briefings using standardized presentations.
- Manage schedules with Microsoft Office Suite and military medical record systems.
- Perform data entry and assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Educate clients on the AWC services and support health educators in biometric screenings.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in an Allied Health field (exercise science/exercise physiology preferred) from an accredited college or university.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
