Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $52,000.00/yr
Job Description
The Health Promotion Technician reports to the Armed Forces Wellness Center (AFWC) Director/Lead Health Educator and works as part of a team delivering primary prevention services to improve health and build readiness. Responsibilities include:
- Providing six core programs: health assessment review, physical fitness, healthy nutrition, stress management, general wellness education, and tobacco education.
- Supporting the AWC program through community event coordination, appointment scheduling, referral management, and administrative tasks.
- Educating clients on the AWC mission and services.
- Supporting health educators with biometric screenings and conducting basic health assessments.
- Managing schedules using Microsoft Office and military medical record systems.
- Coordinating community outreach and on-site unit health briefings.
- Performing data entry and assisting with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in an Allied Health field (exercise science, health promotion, etc.) from an accredited college.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
