Base pay range
$55,000.00/hr - $75,000.00/hr
Position details
Position: Community Manager (Full-Time, Exempt)
Compensation: Biweekly, plus Benefits and Bonus eligibility
Location: Ridge at Lancaster - 2101 Crouch Road Dallas, Texas, 75241
Summary
As a Community Manager of an affordable housing asset, you are primarily responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the community while maximizing the living experience for residents and the community. This is achieved by effectively directing and coordinating the community's operational activities. Your knowledge of affordable housing standards and excellent customer service make you a leader of an effective team.
Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To)
- Demonstrate a positive, professional, and client-oriented attitude with team members, residents, clients, and the public.
- Strive to improve community performance to meet or exceed financial and operational goals.
- Oversee daily activities such as loss prevention, risk management, safety/security, maintenance, marketing, leasing, and facility upkeep.
- Manage income and leasing strategies to ensure financial stability.
- Conduct regular onsite audits to ensure compliance with program documents, regulations, and policies.
- Monitor and review operational processes like work orders, move-ins/outs, recertifications, and lease renewals.
- Ensure community operations comply with HUD, TDHCA, LIHTC, and other regulations.
- Address non-compliance issues and facilitate housing inspections.
- Analyze financial statements and develop budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate community records and manage revenue collection.
- Coordinate with vendors, approve invoices, and supervise staff.
- Handle resident relations and coordinate maintenance requests.
- Participate in training programs such as Solidago.
Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of property management experience, especially in affordable housing.
- Strong knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, TDHCA, TAA, and related programs.
- Proficiency with property management software (OneSite preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Financial analysis skills, including budgeting and variance analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Leadership experience and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and strong client relations skills.
