The Position
FanDuel Sports Network is looking for an Advertising Sales and Sponsorship Leader to add to our roster. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role will lead the transformation of FDSN’s sales and sponsorship strategies across existing and new properties to drive incremental revenue through innovative sales techniques, leveraging relationships with the company’s commercial partners and existing advertisers and sponsors and driving new business.
This position will interface and collaborate across FDSN functional leadership and lead the sales team at the corporate level and at the regional level, while also working with high level clients, agency, ad sales representatives in the marketplace. The successful candidate will help develop growth strategies, implement new tactics, and develop concepts for the sales organization to execute on a national, regional, and local level.
This position can be located in NYC or Southport, CT.
The Game Plan:
(What you will do)
Strategic Sales Planning
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales go-to-market strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, ensuring the achievement of company revenue goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, making adjustments to optimize performance.
- Utilize analytics tools to track and report on sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
Client and Partner Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions, and provide insights and recommendations to enhance their media presence.
- Work with team and commercial partners to activate initiatives that drive maximum value for FDSN.
- Maximize relationships with rep firms and agencies to drive revenue growth both locally and nationally.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term partnerships.
- Handle client inquiries and resolve issues promptly, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting brand awareness, generating leads, and building professional networks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team goals.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and innovation.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions with sales teams, provide feedback, address challenges, and recognize achievements.
- Collaborate cross functionally with sales operations, research, team partnerships, production, DTC product and marketing teams to align and integrate sales initiatives to drive growth.
- Partner with sales operations to ensure accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and financial transactions.
The Stats:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- At least 15 years of demonstrated success in multiplatform media sales and sponsorship. preferably in sports media or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of media platforms, advertising trends, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional storytelling, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and team development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Flexibility to travel as needed and work evenings or weekends for client meetings, industry events, or other business-related activities.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this position is $450K – 525K. Final compensation for this role will be determined by a range of factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

The RSNs produce over 3,000 live local professional telecasts each year in addition to a wide variety of locally produced sports events and programs.
