Company Description

Tech Life Media Systems is a growing company with an Audio/Video Alarm team serving the Long Island and Hampton areas. We are Control4 and Lutron dealers.

Job Summary:

• Works with other installers and independently to complete installs and service calls.
• Demonstrates good time management.
• Responsible for timely completion of daily procedures and paperwork.
• Maintains assigned vehicle care and upkeep.
• Provides excellent customer service.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Install and service residential and commercial audio/video/alarm systems.
• Install home control and automation systems.
• Possess Control4 knowledge and/or certification.
• Install Lutron lighting control and motorized window treatment systems.
• Set up wired and wireless network systems.
• Install and maintain camera surveillance systems, including network and digital video recorders.
• Program single-room and multi-room setups.
• Design and program security systems.
• Complete daily documentation and job status reports clearly and neatly.
• Properly install equipment racks, ensuring good wire management, ventilation, and power distribution.
• Complete Alarm.com Academy within 6 months of hire.
• Complete ProSource University within the first year of employment.

Technical Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with audio/video equipment and low voltage electronics.
• Practical installation and troubleshooting skills for alarm systems.
• Understanding of residential network technologies.

Non-Technical Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
