We are seeking an experienced reporter to cover the fast-moving world of financial regulation under President Donald Trump and its effects on consumer and investor protections. This high-impact beat will examine how decisions by U.S. regulatorssuch as the dismissal of major crypto lawsuits, efforts to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the potential release of Fannie Mae from conservatorshipare reshaping the financial landscape during a period of aggressive deregulation.
- Break news on key developments in the financial regulatory space, with a focus on consumer and investor protections
- Build and maintain strong sourcing within regulatory agencies, trade groups, legal experts, and the financial industry

Youll need to have:

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 USD annually + benefits + bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
