Job Posting: Mechanical Designer Location: Hampton, GA Are you a mechanically inclined and SolidWorks proficient Mechanical Designer looking for an immediate opportunity to contribute to the design of high voltage switch products? Selectek has an immediate need for a Mechanical Designer with a strong mechanical background and SolidWorks experience to join our client's team. In this role, you will design and prepare shop drawings and bills of material for high voltage switch products. About the Role: Mechanical Design & Drafting: You will prepare detail drawings, layouts, and sketches of parts and equipment using SolidWorks for engineering and fabrication purposes. Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation: You will prepare Bills of Material for assemblies and sub-assemblies. Order Processing & Review: You will review and process orders for production. Technical Calculations: You will make electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations associated with drawing preparation. Design Changes: You will initiate changes to existing drawings as assigned by Senior Designers or Application Engineers. Additional Support: You may assist with erecting switch products for testing and processing orders/drawings for Engineering Services. Who You Are: Experienced Designer: You have 2+ years of mechanical design experience creating drawings using SolidWorks. SolidWorks Expert: You are proficient in SolidWorks. Mechanically Inclined: You possess a strong mechanical understanding. Detail-Oriented: You are meticulous in your work and committed to producing accurate designs and documentation. Required Skills: 2+ years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks. Proficiency in SolidWorks. Strong mechanical understanding. Preferred Qualifications: BSME or BSMET in Mechanical Engineering. Additional Info: Term: This is a 6-month contract to direct opportunity. Pay Rate: $23 - $27 per hour based on experience.
