Responsibilities
Using established CAD standards and design criteria to independently design civil infrastructure and site improvements and prepare construction plan drawings based on that design, under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer Organizing and scheduling work to accomplish goals on projects within established budgets and timelines Coordination with engineers and other design team members Plotting and assembling construction plans, exhibits, specifications, etc Assist in the oversight of CAD systems & standards Requirements
Education/Certification
High School graduate or GED required Post High School technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field Professional
Responsive and results oriented in service to clients Minimum ten (10) years of civil CAD experience on a variety of projects preferred Mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel Demonstrated experience in actual design of water, sewer, streets, grading and drainage projects Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings Benefits
