Job Description
This part-time Graphic Designer will create branded print and digital design materials; and maintain brand identity and consistent visual messaging across digital/print communication and marketing channels. The incumbent will shoot and edit photos to meet brand standards (training will be provided). This position will collaborate with a team of senior graphic designers, web designers, video producers, public relations professionals, and marketing professionals. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally creative communicator who has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, good observation skills, keen attention to detail, and proven problem-solving ability; is flexible, open-minded, willing to adapt to changing priorities, and able to manage multiple demands; and enjoys learning and continually seeking new ways to grow personally and professionally.
- Receives art direction and feedback on design projects and photography and makes edits accordingly
- Uses County-provided project management program to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet the demands of clients, managers, and peers
- Uses images, text, and color to transform statistical data into visual graphics such as charts, graphs, diagrams, and infographics
- Manages procurement, organization, and storage of files, including photos, logos, graphic design files, and other brand assets
- Consults and communicates regularly with print vendors, prepares artwork for press, and provides specifications to ensure proper execution of print jobs
- Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Pitches new design ideas that further the organization's branding efforts
- Uses and stays up to date on Adobe Create Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

Essential Duties

- Explains job duties to youth and adults during outreach programming - (2-3 times per year)
$21.00/hr
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in graphic design, art, branding, marketing, or communications AND
- One year of graphic design, fine art, branding, graphic design, art direction, or related experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
