Overview The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for making deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse. Responsibilities Have a clear understanding of UI design patterns, responsive web design, and web accessibility. Translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, Create beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces to support customer applications with a smooth and intuitive interaction. Work with developers, consultants, customers and other designers in an Agile environment to complete project(s). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4 years' professional experience in Web / UI design or development. Strong portfolio, preferred Hands-on experience creating: wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc., preferred Experience using tools such as: Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin, Quartz, preferred. Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, preferred. Ability to understand and build responsive and accessible web pages HTML and CSS. Ability to understand and write modular, scalable and DRY CSS code. Proven record of learning and adapting new technologies. Active Secret Security Clearance is required. Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Effectively communicate with customers and peers. Strong technology and analytical skills. Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Team oriented professional who excels on project teams. Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency. Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time. Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
